While EMAs provide advantages such as easy integration with electric powertrains and very precise motion control, hydraulics remain unmatched in heavy-duty applications where extreme force and durability are required. The future will likely see a hybrid landscape where manufacturers select the most suitable actuation method for each function, balancing force, efficiency, and control.
